In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Spain’s National Day, the New York Opera Society presented At Home Abroad, an intimate piano recital featuring internationally acclaimed Spanish pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo. Held at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium, the program explored the musical connections between Spain and France through works by Isaac Albéniz and Claude Debussy, including selections from Iberia, Estampes, and Suite bergamasque. A recipient of Spain’s National Music Award and a longtime NYOS artist-in-residence, Torres-Pardo brought her celebrated artistry to an evening honoring Spanish culture and its enduring influence on classical music. Presented in collaboration with the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute and the Hispanic Society Museum & Library.
