"Catharsis: The Power of Music" is an Opera & Oysters fundraiser for Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, hosted at the Truro home of Lesley Silvester and Ely Terry Kahn, led by NYOS Executive Director Jennifer Cho.

The evening features soprano Alisa Jordheim, tenor Allan Palacios Chan, baritone Diego Matamoros, and pianist Danielle DeSwert Hahn. Hahn is a particularly strong NYOS connection point: she currently heads music programs at the National Gallery of Art, curating a weekly concert series of roughly 50 performances a year, and was formerly principal pianist of the Baltimore Opera Company and Washington Concert Opera, with past music-staff credits at NYOS itself as well as the Chautauqua, Indianapolis, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Washington National Opera companies. Diego Matamoros is a former professional opera baritone (with past credits at the Metropolitan Opera House and Teatro Regio Torino) who now practices as a corporate attorney.
